Morocco - 15th day 2008.04.19 18:35
Wind, sand and rain – the sand was everywhere, it forced us to take a bath in the sea. Then, we visited the huge mosque of Hassan II, we had lunch in the medina, now we are ready to go to the airport.

In the morning it was raining heavily in Meknes. We caught a bus which was supposed to take us to Casablanca. Unreasonably we were said to change bus in Rabat. During this change Julia had lost a bag with her passport. It took us a lot of time to find the bus and the bag. Finally we reached Casa, bought some food in a supermarket. Now we are sitting on the beach, drinking beer and watching the sunset.

Dorota and Czapla landed before 10 am and afterwards Czapla went straight to work, while we were starting next day of cycling – 4 h uphill, along tortuous mountain roads and face wind. Then we reached Volubilis. 7 km far from the city, a man, who used to be a pilot of Mirage, picked us up. He was also driving like a pilot of a fighter Mirage. We’re sleeping in a hotel in Meknes.

Morocco 2008 - Day After Day
The day-after-day description below is a compilation of texts posted everyday by Marta on our website, based on our sms and telephone calls.
1st day
2008.04.05
We reached Casablanca at 1 am (that is 3 am Polish timezone). We rode our bikes to Casablanca, which is 30 km away from the airport. We were riding at night, without any light and at the temperature of 8,5 Celsius degrees .Then we caught a bus to Marakesh, where we are now. The city is quite expensive, very commercial and not enchanting so far and, what’s more, it’s raining. Today and tomorrow we’re sightseeing.
We already have bought Moroccan phone card. You can call us: +21 253212145. We recommend VoipBuster - 0,19 €/min.
2nd day
2008.04.06
After sightseeing the Marrakesh, we set out the trip. We’ve made 36 km today, whereof 10 km in the city. We’re tired. It’s quite hot, sometimes it’s raining. We’re putting up a tent near some derelicted house. Mountains ahead. There is a serious problem to find an alcohol here. Luckily, we have some stores from Poland.
3rd day
2008.04.07
We woke up at 6. Mountains ahead today. After 16 km of riding we made a breakfast break in a forest. It wasn’t shining strongly, but there ware 28 Celsius degrees. Then, again a ride uphill and lunch in a pass Tizi n ait Imguer, 1450 m (amsl). The temperature decreases, there are only 17 C degrees on this level. The views are so picturesque – clay villages glued to mountainsides and snow-capped tops in front of us.
4th day
2008.04.08
Last night we spent in a lovely valley by a riverside. In order to get there, we came down by a steep sandy slope an...
